A day out visitingI want to start out by saying thank you for all the “LIKES” and comments that I have received at many of my posts. To those of you who did so, your kind words and thoughts mean the world to me. I can see that a lot of you share the same love of blogging that I do. And thank you to all bloggers who have joined me and together we are a worldwide community!Since the dawn of the morning has been catching up with us one hour earlier, summer is also through, we will be on the way to autumn very soon. I keep my windows open to feel the fresh cool wind that blows in before the sun takes the blue sky. It’s getting rather cooler, that at last some of the summer flowers are still blooming. Although it’s such a pretty season, I don’t really like the heatwaves. I prefer spring and autumn since the weather is mild and cool. But well summer is to enjoy for at least once a year, the sun is out, the sky is blue, let’s embrace it. A week ago I visited the Richmond Borough upon Thames. It is one of the loveliest little town of West London and daily life is very lively, busy and everyone was doing their own things. I took a walk down the residential area behind the town high streets where there are pubs, restaurants, and not forgetting the “Green,” that caters for families when the sun is out, everyone comes out to chill on the “Green.”
The wisteria is one of my favourite flowers of the season, I snapped some pictures of homes with the beautiful wisterias takings its space to prepare for the blooms and most probably they might bloom in the autumn. Or you know something, I still cannot understand which months of the year that Wisterias blooms. I’ve got to find that out.Not the famous London Eye, but the “Richmond Eye” is watching your trails.
Richmond is a lovely little town with two “Odeon” cinemas. They have great tastes of restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs to choose from at how you want to spend your day if you are spending some days in Richmond. You will also find some great designer shops for fashion clothing. It is a great place to stay if you are spending a holiday in London. They have beautiful hotel up to 5 stars and this little town, from its every corners, you are only minutes’ walk to its train station with links to Central London, Heathrow and connection to all parts of North, South, East Or West of London and the whole of England. Its night life is amazing and busy.
Richmond Borough is a well-kept protected borough. It is a place where many of the members of parliament lives, and actors and actresses made their homes. It is a very quiet westernised town where upper working class families lives.
It residential areas are acquainted with lovely stone houses scattered behind lush green vegetation. The tranquillity and beautiful nature abides and who wouldn’t want to live in Richmond.
As I followed my trail, I finally arrived at the River bank. With boats blooming on the river, people were also blooming under the hot sun of the Richmond River. And beautiful homes stand right on the river banks.
And the Twickenham Railway Bridge is a fantastic scene that crosses above the River Thames which travels to and from London. I wasn’t too happy after I left the bridge behind me, since I wanted to capture a train passing by, but well as I turned back to walk down the other end of the river, I heard some noise, I knew I needed to snap a pic of that train from Twickenham to Richmond Station going to Central London. It may be train on the track, but well, my camera was ready and I got the chance of a lifetime, I am now sharing with you “train on the bridge” that I thought it would not happened. A boat trip is well worth the visit. It is less than £20.00 a return trip. I have always done boat trips every consecutive summer. I haven’t done one since last summer, but will surely have one soon. My daughter celebrated her birthday yesterday, and this weekend our boat trip will take its toll. Just cannot wait for this adventure.
“Boats for Hire” – if you want to go kayaking on the river, you won’t miss a chance to rent a kayak.Exploring the River Thames, is a beautiful experience, there are lots to see along the river, from homes on the river bank, to pubs, to trail walks, animals and beautiful foliage.
If you have never been, I am giving you a glimpse of our famous Richmond Bridge, it is one of the most beautiful landmark of West London and Richmond.
Arrived at the entrance to the other side of the Bridge – a continuation of the River Walk, which I did not take chance to continue since I have been previously. (above picture)You may want to have delicious meal under our famous Richmond Bridge, the “Tides Table Cafes” will cater this speciality for you. Don’t pass it by, go in and try and create your own experience of having been to Richmond Borough Upon Thames.
Well, I am on top of the Bridge and view of the river is amazing. And a glimpse of the railway bridge in the distance is fantastic, with “no train on the track.” (above picture)Well I am now leaving Richmond town behind me – (above picture).
On my way down the bridge, I made some amazing pictures of gardens with beautiful foliage, and homes standing and overlooking for the river.
Thank you for visiting Richmond together with me. Wasn’t the walk along the river fantastic? (Below is the view from the Bridge – the sun was out and the sky was blue).Next time you are in London, do not forget to visit Richmond, or live in Richmond if you are visiting London.
